The ninth edition of PArC, Perú Arte Contemporáneo, has a confirmed date to represent Pinta in Peru. Integrated into the Pinta universe, the most relevant international art fair in Peru is characterized by an ambitious experimental program and a selection of galleries with diverse and contemporary proposals.

The PArC fair, which stands among the most relevant cultural exchange platforms in the region, will take place between April 20^th and 24^th, 2022 at Casa Prado, Lima

The exhibition with selected works from the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation Collection (CIFO) reflects on both the multidisciplinary practices of Latin American contemporary art and on its diversity as a conceptual frame that is inclusive of a carried universe of voices. It comprises 31 established, mid-career, and emerging artists from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela, and features works of art in multiple media, including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, as well as large-scale multimedia installations. Having debuted at the Cuenca Biennial in 2018, this is the first time this exhibition is presented at an arts institution in the United States.

Pinta Miami reaches the end of 2021 and celebrates great sales and a successful blend format. Pinta Concept marked the 15^th year for Pinta and, once again, brought together artists, galleries, curators, collectors and overall art lovers to showcase the best of Latin American art. Almost 300 artworks were exhibited, which represented 11 countries and both emerging and established talents.

Celebrating the occasion of her 90th birthday, the exhibition will be on display until February 13, 2022. The aim is to celebrate the life and work of Cuban-born, Miami-based artist Margarita Cano.

Colografias, the first European retrospective in honor of the Cuban engraver Belkis Ayón (Havana, 1967-1999) was inaugurated on November 16th at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, in Madrid. The exhibition, which brings together around 80 works produced between 1986 and 1999, constitutes Km 10048 of the International Biennial of Contemporary Art of the South (BIENALSUR), since it is a part, as an associated exhibition, of the biennial held in 124 venues around the world.

With the curatorship of Oscar Roldán and Luis Fumero, the Solo Projects section acquires a stronger protagonism this year. The section is dedicated to gallery exhibitions that consist of works by a selected artist; the perfect opportunity for visitors to relate more profoundly and personally with the artists.

The EFG Latin America Art Award, in partnership with ArtNexus, announces José Caerols, from OMA Galeria, Santiago de Chile, as the nominated artist for its annual acquisition award. The list of selected artists is now finallyy complete, and the winner will be announced at Pinta Miami this week.

The renowned Argentine artist Luis Felipe “Yuyo” Noé is also a part of BIENALSUR 2021, the International Biennial of Contemporary Art of the South, which emerged at Argentina’s Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero and is held in 124 venues in 24 countries around the world. The installation "Entreveros BIENALSUR / MUNTREF" can be visited in Buenos Aires, at the MUNTREF Centro de Arte Contemporáneo (at its Hotel de Inmigrantes venue), until the end of December.

The Museum of Modern Art of Bogota- MAMBO presents Vibrational States by artist Alba Triana. An exhibition that uses technology through multisensory experiences. The public will find pieces exploring energy and vibration; a line of inquiry that stems from a deep urge to listen to an invisible world.

At a Sotheby’s auction, the Argentine businessman and collector acquired Diego y yo (1949) for $ 34.8 million. Thus, the oil painting became the most expensive work in the history of Frida Kahlo, in the history of Latin American art, Mexican art and by a woman artist from the region.

The International Biennial of Contemporary Art of the South, BIENALSUR 2021, arrives on November 10th and 17th at the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) with three exhibitions featuring works by almost 20 artists from America, Asia and Europe. The exhibitions analyze how information impacts on our subjectivities, and at the same time question the social, gender and ethnic inequalities that traditional historiography entails, drawing attention to the need to strengthen an ecological conscience in the face of our planet’s growing degradation.

Designed as an immersive dining experiment in Miami, A Fire Offering is curated by Sofia Bastidas. This installation and performative object art is part of the Collective62’s interest in creating a collective space that foments creative reflection among its residents.

In order to promote the commercial and artistic opening of the country at an international level, the Ministry of Foreign Relations, International Trade and Culture of the Argentine Republic, the Consulate General and Promotion Center of Argentina in Miami, together with Arte al Día International and Pinta held an open call for Argentine emerging artists for an international online exhibition. Two new exhibitions were presented last week in the framework of BIENALSUR, the international biennial of contemporary art that is held simultaneously in 124 venues in 50 cities around the world. In this case, the expo’s are held at the Enrique Udaondo Provincial Museum Complex in Luján (Province of Buenos Aires), and are dedicated to the native peoples of the American continent.

The arteba Foundation turned 30 years old and celebrated it with a face-to-face fair at Arenas Studios, La Boca neighborhood. arteba 2021 created a space where artists, gallery owners, collectors, curators, cultural references and a massive public converged on the southern part of the City of Buenos Aires.

“Pistas” (Clues would be the literal translation), inaugurated on October 27^th at the MUNTREF Artes Visuales Sede Caseros I, in Buenos Aires, is an exhibition that brings together works from the collections of the Emilio Pettorutti Provincial Museum of Fine Arts and the MUNTREF. The exhibition, curated by Diana Wechsler, seeks to trace some historical-artistic journeys of 20^th century Argentina, and includes works by such prominent artists as the Argentineans Emilio Pettorutti, Antonio Asís, César Paternosto, Alfredo Gramajo Gutiérrez, Ennio Iommi, Juan Melé, Pablo Páez, Javier Plano, Alejandro Puente, Víctor Rebuffo, Carlos Sessano, Clorindo Testa and Daniel Santoro, the Italians Juan Del Prete and Líbero Badíi, the Spanish Pompeyo Audivert and the German Anne-Marie Heinrich, among others.

Curated by Isabella Lenzi, and running until November 20^th, Só é possível se formos 2 [It is only possible if there are 2 of us] is exhibited in the Sala Fernando Pessoa of the Consulate General of Portugal in São Paulo. The exhibition proposes a dialogue between the Brazilian Anna Costa e Silva and the Portuguese Fernanda Fragateiro, two artists from different generations, practices and trajectories, who converge in their desires to think beyond the limits of the individual.

The echoes of the bells from the Church of San Ignacio of Loyola, in Buenos Aires, resound on the stones of the old Manzana de las Luces historical complex, one of the last buildings from the colonial era that survive in the city’s historic center. The place, which through the centuries has been a convent, a Museum of Natural Sciences and even a Faculty, transpires hispanic barroqueness. It is now a museum without a permanent exhibition; it is, in its way, a monument of its own. In the courtyard, the spectator looks upwards and there stand the balconies of the old cloisters, higher up the glass and steel walls of the skyscrapers of the financial district and, poised on the museum’s ceiling, observing this ancient patio, an unwinged angel that looks out of place. And it is. Or maybe not.

The De Pont Museum in the Netherlands has acquired an assemble of works by González, seminal figure in Latin American art. The works address the themes of migration, disappearance and collective grief.

Titled Mongrel, this site-specific installation transforms MOAD’s largest gallery into a dynamic interior that evokes domestic space and the artist’s early experiences as a Cuban refugee. A series of twenty-five new drawings created expressly for this exhibition meld a wide variety of images into arresting abstractions of pulsing color and form, while still occasionally revealing their representational sources.

Until January 30^th, 2022, a monographic exhibition of Pablo Atchugarry is on display at the Palazzo Reale in Milan. Vida de la materia (Life of Matter) is the name given to this large exhibition that includes a set of 40 works and the curatorship of art critic Marco Meneguzzo.

Argentina Performance Art, with the support of the Centro Cultural Recoleta, organizes two days of debate, exchange and collective reflection on Argentine Performance Art. This discipline has seen exponential growth, nationally and internationally, both in its visibility and in its circulation and in its impact on the media in recent years. This is why Argentina Performance Art considers it essential to build room for reflection around this practice, focusing on the historicity of the discipline and its incidence today.

The EFG Latin America Art Award, now in its eleventh edition, was created to support the Latin American artists. The award aims to promote the continent's visual arts production and regional fairs among collectors around the world. From the Colombian ARTBO fair, the nominated artist is Federico Ovalles, and from the Brazilian fair SP-Arte, Gustavo Nazareno was nominated for his work “Guiné”.

The City’s Ministry of Culture, together with the Visual Arts area, announced the programming of the Art Week, the event that turns the City into a large open-air contemporary art museum. From October 31 to November 7, more than 35 institutions and spaces in the City of Buenos Aires will be the center of the scene and will invite the public to meet the most innovative works of art, performances, exhibitions, concerts and to enjoy a wide program of activities for all audiences.

Within the Panorama institutional program, this exhibition focuses on aesthetics and artistic practices in and around Barcelona. It comprises a wide range of disciplines, including painting, sculpture, works on paper, video installation, performance, photography and textiles, and is driven by a desire to defend and verify the making of on-site exhibitions as experiences that envelop us as whole sensing bodies in space. As the “notes” of the title suggests, this group exhibition attempts to jot down, to lay out and to connect without seeking to be in any way definitive.
