PArC 2020 – EN EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE IN EXTRAORDINARY TIMES

Interconnection with the art world, productive sales, dynamic conversation cycles, and more than 76,000 visitors – these are some of the results of Peru Contemporary Art 2020.

PArC 2020 – EN EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE IN EXTRAORDINARY TIMES

In its online version, the eighth edition of PArC was held from May 4 to 31. Adapting to the global circumstances, PArC created a visibility platform for the Peruvian and international contemporary art scenes.

 

PArC exhibited 200 artists represented by 35 local and international galleries, and was connected with different countries in Latin America, the United States, Spain, England and Germany. It received 76,788 visitors and gave collectors, buyers, and art enthusiasts the ability to view and purchase a selection of world-class works by simply using their keyboards.

 

        

The first nomination for the annual acquisition EFG Latin America Art Award for was held in association with ArtNexus magazine. The nominated work is by Gonzalo Fuenmayor from the El Museo de Bogotá gallery and the jury was made up of José Roca, Curator and Artistic Director of FLORA ars + natura, together with Celia Sredni de Birbragher, Director and Editor of ArtNexus.

To continue with the cultural exchange, PArC will change maintain its virtual presence throughout the year. Generating new initiatives and carrying out different activities, they will work to encourage and promote contemporary artistic production, cultivate new collectors, and contribute to the essential dialogue of art.
