As every year, the 28th edition of arteBA takes place in the fairground of Buenos Aires La Rural, located in the heart of Palermo. With the presence of the Argentine Minister of Culture Pablo Avelluto, Minister of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires Enrique Avogadro, Alec Oxenfor-founder of the fair- and emblematic artists of the Argentine scene as Luis Felipe Noé, Marta Minujín, Leandro Katz -recently named 'outstanding personality of the city of Buenos Aires'- and Marie Orensanz, among others, the opening of the fair summoned a multitudinous and international public.

It is a tradition that in each edition the Impulsarte Acquisition Committee composed by Eva Grinstein, Victoria Verlichak and Juan Pablo Maglier, choose five works exhibited at the fair to incorporate them into the Impulsarte Collection -which now has 55 works-. As explained by the committee, the goal is to promote "new talent, acquiring pieces of young Argentine artists, and stimulate the local art scene."

The works selected this year were: Cámara by Helena Dahnn (María Casado Gallery), El cielo de Boedo by Tomás Maglione, (Ruth Benzacar Gallery), The Exhibitionist – Los días pasan como segundos by Martín Touzon (El Mirador gallery), Untitled by Ana Benedetti (gallery La arte + Almanaque) and Untitled - from the series No pensar by Pablo Rosales (gallery Aldo de Sousa).

Finally, it should be noted that guided tours organized by the Government of the City in the framework of the Week of Art. The critic and curator Laura Batkis will make a guided tour every day with a special guest: Marta Minujín, Cynthia Cohen and Miguel Harte; and get keys to start collecting with the collector Gustavo Bruzzone. Today, Thursday, April 11, the tour is directed by Marta Minujín!
