PINTA MIAMI - HYBRID PROGRAMMING WITH NEW DIGITAL PLATFORM OF CURATORIAL EXPERIENCES AND SERIES OF POP-UP EVENTS DURING MIAMI ART WEEK

From Pinta’s inception, the show has played a monumental role in elevating Latin American artists across the globe,” says Diego Costa Peuser, Pinta co-founder and Director. “We are beyond excited to launch an interactive platform that allows us to continue engaging with our exhibitors and international art community, collectors and museums to present the show.

The inaugural edition of Pinta Miami Live 2020 will launch with the participation of 70 galleries from Latin America, the United States and Europe, presenting artworks from over 400 artists. The exhibitions will be presenting several new digital components including LiveTalk, a series of conversations with art collectors who will discuss different aspects of contemporary art in Latin America; Open Files, a series of shorts videos in which artists present details about their artwork; and guided virtual tours where attendees can explore a selection of works under the gaze of specialists from the Latin American contemporary art scene.

In addition to the LiveTalks, curated exhibitions and virtual events, Pinta is hosting a series of private in-person pop-up events taking place during Miami Art Week, highlighting local and Latin American artists, collections and exhibitions at the Piero Atchugarry Gallery, El Espacio 23 and Juan Maldonado Art Collection. Attendees can also register to visit local private art studios including those of Paul Amundarian, Alberto Cavaliere, Tony Vazquez Figueroa and Bernadette Despujols.

It’s vital for us to maintain a component of in-person activations this year in the safest and most responsible manner. Our goal is to celebrate the  local artists and arts communities that are continuing to keep Miami vibrant despite the difficulties the world is currently facing,” adds Costa Peuser.

Pinta Miami will also feature a VIP program that allows members free access to other local exhibits and activations at the Perez Art Museum Miami, History Miami, Boca Raton Museum of Art and others. For the seventh consecutive year, EFG International is proud to be the main sponsor of Pinta Miami 2020. The winner of this year’s  EFG Latin American Art Award, in collaboration with ArtNexus, will be announced during Pinta Miami Live.

Modern and Contemporary Latin American Art Show, in its 14th edition continues to present projects with international curators showcasing Latin American art with a global perspective in a unique platform.  As one of the main references of Latin American Art for collectors, professionals, museums, and institutions PINTA MIAMI establishes itself with an Ibero American focus, counting with the presence of Spain and Portugal.
