PABLO ATCHUGARRY'S ANTHOLOGICAL EXHIBITION AT LECCO
As a celebration of the aniversary of artist Pablo Atchugarry's first exhibition in Italy, which took place in Lecco in 1978, the municipal administration of the city pays tribute to the artist who, throughout his career, transformed the material into work of opens and brought prestige to the capital of Como.

With his sculptural works and his art, he brought the name of Lecco to the world and, in 2018, he obtained from the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, the title of Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy, for the role played in the international cultural field.
The bond between this artist and the city of Lecco was marked in December 2022, on the occasion of the patronal feast, with the highest possible award, the San Nicolò d'Oro, "for having contributed with his artistic production to make our city transcend national borders".
For this reason, an anthological exhibition was organized to allow the residents of Lecco, tourists and art lovers to be able to approach his path, a rich production that speaks of the intense relationship between form, matter and light.
This exhibition brings together the entire artistic life of Pablo Atchugarry: from painting to wood, passing through bronze, to the discovery and love of marble and in particular of Carrara statuary. In his hands, the blocks of this metamorphic rock come to life, acquire form and momentum, rise towards the sky, creating that harmonious contrast between the white of the material and the blue of the sky.
