NUNCA LO MISMO. Arte Latinoamericano

With the curatorship of Manuela Moscoso and Mariano Mayer, and the intention of continuing to explore forms of collaboration between artists and galleries from Latin America, this new section aims to present artistic practices made visible through different degrees of materiality.

The section NUNCA LO MISMO (NEVER THE SAME), whose title corresponds to a quote from the writer Osvaldo Lamborghini, points to the ways of making art in Latin America and its aesthetic variability as one of its main qualities. NUNCA LO MISMO included proposals made, for the most part, with manual techniques and procedures whose formal characteristics are identified with painting, sculpture, installations or videos; each of them has been conceptualized as a unique piece.

The section featured works by: Rodrigo Arteaga (AFA Gallery – Santiago de Chile), Sol Calero (Chert Lüdde – Berlin), Jonathas de Andrade (Continua - São Paulo), Alberto Casari and Santiago Yahuarcani (CRISIS – Lima), Santiago García Sáenz (Hache, Buenos Aires), Mauricio Poblete (Pasto – Buenos Aires), Jimena Croceri (Piedras – Buenos Aires) and Eduardo Navarro (Ultravioleta Projects – Guatemala).
