THE LAST GALLERY EDITION OF THE YEAR IN BUENOS AIRES
On Saturday, November 9, 2024, a new edition of Gallery arrives to explore the neighborhoods of San Telmo and La Boca, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Gallery promotes free tours through art circuits where visitors can discover a great diversity of galleries, museums, artists' studios and foundations. A great opportunity to bring contemporary art closer to the general public and promote the extraordinary local offer.

This edition of Gallery continues with a new edition of the Night of the Museums, the free event that starts at 7 pm and seeks to democratize access to art throughout the City of Buenos Aires.
With the support of the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, and with more than 10,000 visitors in its last edition, the event allows to explore in a dynamic, close and current way the most attractive artistic spaces of the City, making visible the excellence of Argentine contemporary art. Gallery captivates its public with a wide range of places and activities to discover: galleries, artists' workshops, museums, cultural centers, special exhibitions, remarkable bars, activations in the public space, among others.

Confines of Paraguay is the initiative of Fernando Allen and Fredi Casco that is part of the Main Section of Pinta BAphoto. This edition, curator Francisco Medail presents Jaime Bolotinsky, a Russian-born photographer based in Buenos Aires who was a pioneer when it came to composing his portraits, using everyday elements and a precise handling of light.

The Argentine artist Guillermo Kuitca was commissioned to create a site-specific work in the chapel of the Hôtel Salé, home of the Musée national Picasso-Paris. The final commission, whose canvas is the walls of the chapel, can now be visited.

ICA Miami presents the first US museum exhibition of the late Afro-Brazilian painter Rubem Valentim (b. 1922, Salvador, Brazil; d. 1991, São Paulo). A singular voice in modernist painting and geometric abstraction, Valentim explored the medium’s formal concerns and social resonances across cultures and spiritual practices. This exhibition focuses on works Valentim produced in the 1960s, and the transformation of his work and thinking during this time.
